oekostrom AG’s largest wind park to date is one of the first ones to be upgraded: Seven powerful wind turbines replaced the old turbines and generate twice as much power as before. This milestone was celebrated on June 3, 2023, with a party that brought together  900 partners, stockholders, clients, and citizens from Parndorf and the surroundings. The wind park opening was hosted on site at the Parndorf oekostrom AG wind farm, below one of the new wind turbines.

We oversaw the conception, planning and implementation of the event. Using carbon-neutral and regionally sourced and manufactured Strohboid tents, a sustainable toilet system developed by the company öKlo, and signage made of individually printed poplar panels, the motto “greener than green“ was the green thread that ran throughout the event. Setting up an event on an empty area in the middle of a wind park without any existing infrastructure proved to be a particularly challenging factor in this project.

oekostrom’s commitment to local collaborations and partnerships was reflected in the choice of participating performers and caterers, including Tamburizza Pama, the kids of the Eisenstadt Art & Dance Connection, DJ SEB ASTIAN from Kempen, ice parlor Harrer, regional food trucks serving organic food, and others.
